A pair of Mary Janes that stand out from the rest...
I really wanted to give the Mary Jane trend a shot, but I knew I wanted something other than a basic black pair. This ReVelvet option caught my eye — they're knit from 100% recycled plastic bottles. I got them in the Syrah color, which is perfect for the holiday season. The first thing I noticed was that they were immediately comfortable out of the box. There's been no break-in period; I wore them to work and had no blisters by the end of the day. The straps help my feet feel secure, like I can walk for miles. I definitely see myself wearing them over the holidays, either with a cute dress and tights or with a pair of jeans and a sweater for a more casual look. —Alexandra Napoli ($159, Rothy’s)

A pair of socks that are comfortable to a fault...
I tried Wide Open Socks a while ago, and instantly fell in love. I hate the indentations around my ankles and calves that come with regular socks. With Wide Open, I've never experienced that type of squeezing. They're specifically designed to be flexible and stretchy, so they're great for everyday wear. I've also worn them over leggings to work out. Either way, they're the socks I reach for continuously because of how comfortable they are, and since they're made from merino wool, they're also incredibly warm to wear during the winter. —Alexandra Napoli ($25, Wide Open Socks)

A laptop stand that solved our aches and pains...
After days of waking up with neck and upper back pain that was seemingly triggered by nothing, I decided it must be the way I was hunching over my laptop for eight hours every day. When I got this laptop stand, I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up (just pull it out of the box) and use (put your laptop on it and pull the slider to adjust the height). I’ve also been using this Bluetooth keyboard and the Apple Magic Trackpad that’s great for devoted Mac laptop users. Now my work-from-home setup makes me feel like a teenage boy playing video games, but since I started using the stand, I’ve had less neck pain, jaw pain, and headaches. That’s worth it to me. —Martha Upton ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

Slippers you can wear in and out of the house...
I had been needing a new pair of slippers for a while, and quite frankly, I was sick of my trip-inducing platform Uggs. The second I put this pair on from Brunch, I couldn't believe I had gone so long without them. The inside is made of 100% Australian shearling, plus the outside is covered in a water-resistant suede. I'm treating them as house shoes only, but the loafer mule style makes them cute enough to wear out. I can't stop raving about these, and they'd make for an incredible holiday gift. —Margo Ghertner ($155, Brunch)

A pair of low-rise Levi's we can't get enough of...
My colleague Martha tipped me off to these cult-favorite Levi’s jeans. As a low-rise devotee myself, I knew I had to try them — especially after purging my closet of all the denim I hated. I loved these so much, I immediately ordered a second pair. They’re baggy, yes, but they don’t overwhelm my 5-foot frame, and miraculously have the perfect length right out of the box. I think they look particularly good with clogs and a chunky sweater for running errands, or with pointed-toe booties and a silk button-down for dinner. —Caroline Goldstein ($108, Levi’s)

An SPF lip gloss that's actually hydrating...
If you're anything like me and the chilly months drive you to reapply lip gloss at least 10 times a day, then you know finding a good lip product is a must. I've been testing this hydrating butter gloss from Lalicious, and although it has a higher price tag, it's worth the spend. My lips feel protected, and the cool minty feel is an added bonus. It's made with SPF (yes, lips need it too) and softens and plumps lips over time. Can confirm that I see the results. —Sarai Thompson ($24, Lalicious)

An electric toothbrush that's better than most...
I've tried my fair share of electric toothbrushes, but this one from Suri takes the cavity-free cake. It's very quiet compared to others, and, more importantly, gives my teeth and gums a thorough clean. I especially love the UV-C light built into the travel case that kills the majority of bacteria. Plus, the brush head and head cap are made with plant-based materials, so I don't feel guilty about having all these extra plastic accessories. I've used it for about two months now and have only charged it via the traveling case, so I would argue the battery life holds up really well. —Alessandra Rey ($114.75, Suri)
