What I Tested…
Connoisseurs Diamond Dazzle Stik, $9.48
Why I Tested...
Test Results…
Ease of use. It takes almost no time to clean your ring with this tool. Just lightly wet the brush tip, twist the base of the pen, wait for the blue cleaning solution to deposit, then brush your ring. From there, you can rinse your ring in a small bowl with room temperature water.
Mess-free design. I watched my mom use Connoisseurs’ jewelry paste growing up, and it was both messy and time-consuming. I was unsure if this pen would deposit too much product and get everywhere. That was not the case. One to two twists is enough for my ring. I love that a little also goes a long way here.
Effectiveness. I was shocked at how instant the results were. The jewelry cleaner removes dirt, oil, and reduces fine scratches, all while drying quickly. When I tell you I saw immediate results (as in mere seconds), I mean it.
Compact nature. It’s the size of your average marker. Whether you live in a space that doesn’t have a lot of storage or you travel a lot, this is an easy product to store and pack.
Sidenotes…
It’s safe enough to use on most jewelry, including diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires.
My friend also owns and uses this product on repeat. She notes that if you have a hidden halo on your engagement ring, it’s a little bit harder to get a deep clean, so if you’re looking for one to get underneath prongs and other hard-to-reach spots, definitely go to a trusted jewelry store for a professional cleaning. For upkeep, I’ll probably do that once a year, and then use the Diamond Dazzle Stik in between.
