Skimm Her Life is a series in our weekly newsletter, Skimm Your Life, where smart women share their favorite products.

We’ve got one of the funniest people on the internet here to share her recs today: Hunter Harris is a pop-culture expert, writer extraordinaire (you can sign up for her hilarious Substack here), and one of our fave Twitter follows. If you love celebrities, scandals, TV and movie recaps, and Hollywood deep dives, then you’re in for a treat. Trust.

Three things I always have in my bag during summer…

I am not particularly chic or mysterious, but opaque sunglasses are the fastest way to communicate an air of chic mystery. I picked up a pair from Mohawk General Store in LA that are my go-tos. Purell, because obviously. Boscia oil blotting sheets because I inherited this oily T-zone from my dad.

Hack/item that keeps me cool…

Seeing movies in a theater. And this combination fan–spray bottle I got for like $3 [here’s a similar option]. I have been trying to drink less alcohol and more water…my skin is extra glowy as a result. Water works. It’s so annoying.

My go-to comfy summer shoe…

Birkenstocks when I need to walk. Black Mansur Gavriel Mary Janes if I’m going out to dinner. [Psst…here’s a similar pair.]

My fave sunscreen…

For face: always Supergoop’s Unseen. A lot of sunscreens are rub-in disappearing; Unseen is invisible on application. That’s major. (There's a Trader Joe's dupe that I've heard about but haven't tried.) For body: The IG girlies are right about the Vacation [line]. I use the spray SPF, but every Vacation product smells soooo gooood.

Best movie and/or TV show from this summer so far…

“The Staircase,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Bodies Bodies Bodies.” My toxic trait is that I had a good time watching “Elvis.”

My song-of-the-summer contenders…

For a record-breaking 17th consecutive summer, Rihanna’s "If It’s Lovin’ That You Want" is the song of the summer. Otherwise: “That’s Where I Am,” “Cash In Cash Out,” “Motomami,” the entirety of Usher’s Tiny Desk, and always, always, always “Summer Girl.”

Psst: This interview has been edited for length and clarity.
