  • Align™ Waist-Length Racerback Tank Top: I do a lot of high-intensity workouts, so I need activewear that can keep up and feel good on. I am so impressed by these pieces. No restriction, no awkward adjusting mid-rep — just smooth, buttery softness that lets me focus on the work. I felt good wearing them during workouts and running errands after.

  • Align™ High-Rise Short 4": I’ve been living in these for the past two weeks, and wow. Comfortable doesn’t even begin to cover it. Saying they feel like a second skin honestly doesn’t do them justice; it’s more like a cozy hug that moves with you. Full transparency, they’re not sweat-wicking, so after a solid workout, you will definitely feel some sweat lingering. The upside: even after multiple washes (and trust me, I’ve been throwing them in the wash often), the color and fabric still look brand-new. Whether you’re hitting the gym a few times a week, doing a dance class, or just stretching it out at home, these shorts are a solid staple to add to your lineup.

  • Align No Line™ High-Rise Pant 25": First off, I noticed the fabric was super soft and compressive, but not restrictive. (I personally hate the texture of a lot of super compressive fabric and this kept a cotton-esque feel.) I'm also grateful this design doesn't have that one seam down the front, which I always found very irksome and uncomfortable. I didn't have to constantly pull these up while running, but still felt like I could breathe deeply in them.

  • Align™ V-Neck Bra Light Support: I tried the DDD+ version of this bra, and was very impressed that I could fit into a medium as a 34F. It's definitely true to size, but I think you could size up if you want more coverage. While I don't think I'll use this bra for my runs moving forward, I was pleasantly surprised by level of support for a "light support" bra — you can definitely get away with doing CrossFit or any other HIIT training in it.

  • Align™ V-Neck Bra Light Support: When it comes to bras, I've always struggled. I wear a size 36DDD and enjoy running and cardio so my old bras feel a bit like cages. I was excited to find a softer, wire-free bra that would be good for low-intensity workouts I've been trying out. This one has quickly become a fave. It has wide, comfortable straps that made me feel secure and covered (with just the right amount of cleavage). I liked that I could lie down, bend over, and stretch without anything popping out of place.

  • Align No Line™ High-Rise Pant 25": My top requirement for leggings is a second skin-like material, and these high-rise leggings absolutely fit the bill. The material is super smooth and light, so I didn't feel suffocated or constricted in any way. I also love how high-waisted they are — I was able to pair them easily with my cropped workout shirts, and sometimes just a bra, and felt very comfortable.

Sidenotes...

  • Tags: If you're a Lululemon fan, you may be accustomed to this, but all of the pieces we tested had long, itchy, bulky tags. Each tester found these annoying and distracting before, during, and after their workouts. You'll want to cut them off before you get dressed.

  • Visible sweat: Each tester reported visible sweat stains after their testing periods. While the materials for the bra, tank, shorts, and leggings feels breathable and light on the body, the sweat lingers a bit after a more intensive workout. If you want to avoid stains, we recommend opting for a darker color (which, thankfully, they have a lot of options for).

  • Inclusive sizing: While the bra, tank, and shorts offer sizes up to 20 or 2X, the leggings only go up to size 12, which we found pretty limiting.
